Note: Although MEA maintains a presence on various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook and Twitter), and Wild Apricot lets members link their profiles to Facebook and Google, those platforms are not operated by the MEA and thus are subject to the privacy policies of those various companies, not this Privacy Policy.
The MEA uses the information you provide us and that we collect to communicate with you about your membership and MEA activities. We may also use it to analyze membership trends in order to provide more relevant services and programming, as well as to answer questions and provide support.
The Media Ecology Association limits who can access your personal information and does not sell it to third parties. In most cases, access to it is restricted to MEA board members, or a subset of MEA board members.
We may share it with other associations, academic institutions, and service providers as needed for the purpose of delivering event programming such as our annual convention or to fulfill member benefits such as when we share members’ names and mailing addresses with Intellect, the publisher of our journal Explorations in Media Ecology, and their affiliates.
